Stiffening The Hull Liner

Summary
(please click on any of the pictures for a larger one - use the BACK button to come back)

The hull liner inside the boat was epoxied to the sole, but the upper edges (mostly hidden by wood) were just "flapping" against the hull.

Ground down the edges for a good bond.

Then I did a REAL slopy job glassing the liner to the hull as best it could be. It is not a critical structural part, so perfection and super strength were not a necessity.

This area will be covered by 1/4" teak and some shelving, so the "messiness" will not show.

This picture shows only part of the V-berth. I did this on the entire length of the boat.

Lessons Learned

Cleaning up DURING is a lot easier than cleaning up AFTER.
